It’s no surprise that passing the closed guard is a difficult and annoying thing to do.
And because your opponent knows this, securing the closed guard isn’t always a simple task.
Usually, if your opponent attempts to pass from their knees, they will often keep one leg up as a way to block you from properly securing the closed guard.
But that’s ok, because even though that leg may block you initially, there’s always a way around it.
